You said you fixed this, but it's still using them :)

I think it was along the lines that (nearly) all attack skills of Chalassa are using the bow for damage calculation, not the melee weapon(s). Many skills are clearly (without access to the actual code ^^) melee attacks and it is confusing that they are based on the ranged attack. (yayswords: correct me if I'm wrong)

Yeah when I reported that, most her attacks used her bow, and they still do. That was the only exception probably. I agree it is confusing that attacks that "sound" like melee abilities use her bow, but there are merits to it too - she can use them just as fine from the back row. A major drawback however is that I think many players who don't sit here reading our 20+ page threads won't know about it and might take the Dual Wield trait on Chalassa :( I brought up that "trap" as an argument against having a DW trait altogether a few times I believe :)

Actually attacks that are purely ranged are properly quite rare. Most do not restrict the used weapon, so which weapon is used depends on the character and target positions.
There are only two skills that are ranged locked and both have shot in their name.

I think the problem is that if I make them melee only, then she would lose a good amount of power since couldn't use those skills from back row... ?

Right right, those abilities use her melee weapons if she's in the front row. That's not so bad. I guess just make FoB use her bow if she's in the back row and call it a day.

That's one of the reasons having either a (or two) melee weapons or a ranged weapon equipped might be a good idea.

Yes will do that indeed. Need to move on with Act3, with this head everything will be slowed down already sadly :(

Will never happen if the system doesn't enforce it :) Without the option to change equipped weapons in a combat and including all the lost boni of the unused wepon(s) no sane player will pass the possibility to fill all slots ^^
