Well you can do that, but I will count turns and regen as much as possible still

or leave 2 alive...
If at first try it doesn't explode, it ain't Jack who wrote the code.

Re: fixed items
I hope your not on a crusade agaist usable mana in general :)
Skill usage is imho an integral part of your combat system, if you have the (certainly fun) ambition to stop the efficiency of regen and dancing lessons completely I vote for removing all mana management methods instead of encounters designed primary around draining the SP pool.

Re: fixed items
Just for the fun of it, I tweaked a couple of items on the armours sheet, just to make it manually a tad more varied. Changes in bold. Also made up some silly names and descriptions for the items, although I guess those won't show up since the items aren't unique. This can be freely trashed. If you like what you see,I can tweak around a couple more items to stand out from the average figures, but I didn't want to changes them all because of high risk of wasted time, lol.

without the ads and dozens of tracking cookies :)
I like it very much - without placeholder names the items tell a story and are not only tools for winning a RPG.

Re: fixed items
Nice job, now there's only left to customize a bit the names of the items

Re: fixed items
one of the edged weapons should be called Blade No 3 (Mass-produced by an unimaginative but prolific dwarfish tribe.)

Lol..just lol!
Good thing I had set my teacup down before reading that.
Do you want to take care more of naming the weapons, renke, or shall I play around with those, too?
(Now I'm tempted to name one of the daggers as Mamba No 5 (Imbued with a little bit of every stat makes it your knife)

Re: fixed items
I included some of yayswords ideas (excluding categories currently not used, like the warhammer) -> download
I'm not sure about the max length of the description, though - the paragraph-long lore for the fake ember sword is impossible without more screen estate, but even the short variant (first sentence or so) is unlikely in the current layout.
But this is a job for Jack, we provide only the content :)

Uploading the sheet(s) to Google Docs would probably the best - but the current chaotic process is much more fun ^^Do you want to take care more of naming the weapons, renke, or shall I play around with those, too?

Re: fixed items
For those unique items, I'm going to add a ? or button that once clicked pops-up a window with the texts, so there shouldn't be space problems. Of course I don't think there's the need to write a long poem for EVERY item!!renke_ wrote: I'm not sure about the max length of the description, though - the paragraph-long lore for the fake ember sword is impossible without more screen estate, but even the short variant (first sentence or so) is unlikely in the current layout.
