Re: fixed items
Yes I meant the descriptions. There is going to be a custom description for every unique item? I think some could just have a short blurb, like "dwarven forged warhammer in the city of Hammerhand". And done, otherwise I think could be a bit insane to do a backstory for every item

Re: fixed items
It's not a bit insane, it's a LOT insane. Lol, and it's kind of done already. Every Zazir's item now has a description. They do vary from poetical lore stuff written by yayswords to unimaginative stuff like "A basic tool for every self-respecting slaver," by me. Note that the description is the same for each item's level 6 and 11 versions, though.

The full descriptions I'm talking about...
You've seen all my lore texts here. But when renke added some of them he cut them in half or even less because he was concerned about screen space. I want them back, untouched
(Except that Euphoria is about a necklace but the item became a ring)
Most have pretty "short blurbs", 1-2 sentences long.
Nitpicking myself for the Replica Ember Blade: "...than they knew about his life."

If at first try it doesn't explode, it ain't Jack who wrote the code.

Ah sorry I didn't check the latest version of the .odsfabulaparva wrote:It's not a bit insane, it's a LOT insane. Lol, and it's kind of done already. Every Zazir's item now has a description. Haha probably he missed the info about adding an extra button. I don't even remember where I posted ityayswords wrote: You've seen all my lore texts here. But when renke added some of them he cut them in half or even less because he was concerned about screen space. I want them back, untouched![]()
Yes that's good enough.yayswords wrote: Most have pretty "short blurbs", 1-2 sentences long.

Hehe, I think that if ever something like this will be done again, it might be better to have the actual suggestions in a separate thread and the comments on them in another. Took a while to find yayswords original texts. Editing them in untouched now. (well, gotta check that Euphoria)

OK, made an exception to this. The Necklaces have different names and descriptions on level 6 and 11:fabulaparva wrote: Note that the description is the same for each item's level 6 and 11 versions, though.
Yayswords, I used your "Carzanna's Radiance" +2SPR-necklace for the level 6 necklace and the description is there in full. I did not change any of the stats on the jewellery, though!
Level 11 necklace is still tagged unimaginatively by me as "Mana Channel No 4."
Latest version .ods can be downloaded at:
EDIT: Link removed - newer version on the next page
Comments and edits are naturally still more than welcome.

Re: fixed items
Yeah I missed this nitpick for your necklace text. Remove the "the". Oh and the bow, not sure why birthday is capitalized
Carzanna's Radiance does not do well (lorewise) as an item that can be purchased several times though. It's not what I had in mind when I wrote it. Better to change it back I think.
Also we shouldn't pass on the opportunity to write up something epic for the legendary items, at the very least the three quest rewards at the end of act 2.

Re: fixed items
Ok, thanks! I'll do those grammar changes and remove your legendary Carzanna's Radiance.
Back to Mana Channel No 2 it is, then.
I won't upload a new version until later, though. Maybe renke will have time to comment before that as well.
I'm not so sure about writing for the 3 legendary rewards. Yes, Krimm and Chalassa's backstories will give info to be able to put something canon-enough for those two, but Riley's necklace is different. It's not really told yet, why getting it is "very personal" to him nor why it is "worth every risk" so I'm a bit concerned that if we'd touch that, we'd end up with something contradicting possible later revelations on Riley or the necklace.
On the other hand, some unique legendary/masterwork items, such as the dagger 'Slith', seem to be fair game. Not sure if I'm personally up to writing prose for those right now though.

Re: fixed items
Yeah well, I nearly suggested Taleweaver should write those, but I figured if I don't say it he'll come storming in demanding to write them and thus be obliged to do it. I'm still expecting that to happen.

He's busy working on another project, I'm pretty sure he doesn't have time to do those. But from what I see you're doing a good job
