Would it mean less bugs if we just offered one level set of items and let them be tagged legendary?
L could mean an item with Lore, some of them "Legendary" *)
(The legendary items in the game before these additions don't have lore in the description field (Well, apart from Moon Mirror in that file now, lol), so the Lore button wouldn't give much on them now.)

*)Eg out of the earlier weapons Slith is legendary, but it's not particularly awesome, imo. So I don't see these being "L" as much of a problem.

Or you could trash the whole thing for now/forever

No actually the problem I found was because I was using the description for Jewelry/Armor to display the quality in inventory (hack number 30129803)
Now I've changed that to simply display "Lore XXX"
So you have the Band of Bloodspeed that will say "Lore Armor (Chalassa only)" and so on. Lore is fine, is not necessarily Legendary

All the other categories denote quality - or potential quality anyway. So it might be weird like that... but perhaps not to a new player.

I just don't want these two items to both be called legendary:

Burning Fist - Mace, Fire
This weapon is believed to have had a hundred owners at the battle for Mount Parak. Each time it struck, it exploded, incinerating everything in a ten foot radius, the wielder included. Its burning bright colors lured the disarmed or greedy into picking it up again, and the story repeated itself. There was ultimately no victor, but Everburn was created. Desperate men and women have since used the weapon in all-or-nothing endeavors, slowly but surely depleting its magic. The merchant insists it's safe to use - the previous owner reportedly only lost a few fingers to the flames.

Made in Chiwan, Whatever, Whatever
This is a plastic sword with a label.
If at first try it doesn't explode, it ain't Jack who wrote the code.

No the L will be displayed only for "real" Legendary item, is only in the inventory for the unique Jewelry/Armors that will display "Lore" instead of the item description. But is just a text.
There's another problem now...but luckily this time simple to solve! I put max 6 x 6 = 36 slots in vendors because I thought they would be more than enough, but you added 40 armor items. So I think will spread the armors between different vendors, not just Zazir

Okay it seems to work, will do the update later today (fixing some minor layout stuff), probably in 2-3h.
Meanwhile I uploaded the new item.ods file with the changes so you can see how to do it for the next act items: http://www.macgames.biz/formated_itemlist.ods
in practice as said is enough to add two asterisks for level and quality to display in stores, and done :)

Hrm. I don't have a working save to check the new store items, but the current legendaries seem weird. Only Krimm's sword has an L over it, not the bracers, and neither of the necklaces (Moon Mirror/Earrings). Also they are level 1. And we definitely need to work on better texts for them, starting with the funny typo in the Moon Mirror description... "Gran" Mogul :D

I added the texts to those items myself
I forgot to add the legendary thing on them, but is easy to fix, will do it now. The legendary shouldn't show any level requirement :)

I like it - and the new Lore button will be hopefully used much more, some "real" texts for the legendary items maybe?

and the prices are off, I looked mostly at armour pieces and it would better to increase the fixed item costs by 20-25%.
