Poor ratmen! Yes 500 is what I put in act1 and might have been even OK, but in next act is too low. I raised it to 2500 for all

Of course only some enemies use it, and only bosses have the "Mass Dispel", but when they use it... ouch!

Re: Third Act Beta! - SOTW 0.8.30
So, why is the blue arrow to exit the Lugal territory missing (I'm on my day off) while red arrows are active, but that's not true for any other family? I can, of course, cheat and use the tunnel to Galanna and exit via their blue arrow without fighting their nasty troops.
Also, I've noticed pretty much the entire game that quest rewards seem to require one level higher than I actually am, which means I can never use them right away, and half the time I find something better in a shop by the time I've leveled.

I chose not to auto level (trying to break the game), it would be better if you put the level requirement so we can see it.jack1974 wrote:I think I put level 15, which he should be by now (since you can autolevel them to level 14 at beginning of act) ?Franka wrote:Uhm, Althea Ranger can't equip the Ranger Twin Sword she got from the forge. Is there a hidden level requirement or something? (Same thing with the Hunter weapon, so I'm guessing there's a level requirement, but it isn't shown.)
No, it was completely broken, even if I waited 10 turns nobody showed up. I can send a save.jack1974 wrote:The others should arrive after some turns. Well yes tomorrow need to check all those "timed battles", beside making harder is better if the enemies are replaced somehow, otherwise there are issues like this!Franka wrote:Nutty Nutt quest, returning after fighting the dwarves, half my party was gone and a crash occurred upon resting (I guess I killed the dwarves before the timer allowed all my party members into the fight).
EDIT: Actually this seems to happen if I walk in any direction but east. I get 4 party members for the fight, and the other 4 never show up.

Re: Third Act Beta! - SOTW 0.8.30
Killing pirates at long range until only 4 was left, I still faced 6 in the next fight.
Killing all the pirates, so 0 was left, I closed in to no fight.

But the boss fight did follow, so that's ok...
...except there's now a Pirates Left box stuck in the display...

...and it's not going away.

The new time system in Shacklesplit is good, by the way.

Re: Third Act Beta! - SOTW 0.8.30
I ended my "break things" playthrough with Althea participating in every fight I did and a grand level of 14. Highest level was Jariel, finishing at lv18, about halfway to 19. This is what you can expect if you play as a complete pacifist who refuses to be handed free levels just because you get to Act III. The party didn't bother to buy equipment at any point in the game, and only equipped drops and quest rewards sporadically, and not at all for most of Act III (I think I equipped Vaelis axes, and that was it, and I didn't even use Vaelis).
Interestingly, this gimp party broke every timed fight on Easy, so who cares about levels and gear anyway?

It's not a bug, is a feature of the lugal district because they're more nasty than the others.Troyen wrote:So, why is the blue arrow to exit the Lugal territory missing (I'm on my day off) while red arrows are active, but that's not true for any other family? Depends which quest rewards? usually I generate the item at -1 level or 0 (same level) as the main character.Troyen wrote: Also, I've noticed pretty much the entire game that quest rewards seem to require one level higher than I actually am, which means I can never use them right away, and half the time I find something better in a shop by the time I've leveled.
Actually for Legendary items I should just NOT put a level, or level 1, since are fixed (fixed stats). So there's no reason to have any level requirement. Will change it now.Franka wrote:I chose not to auto level (trying to break the game), it would be better if you put the level requirement so we can see it.
Thanks that will be useful!Franka wrote:No, it was completely broken, even if I waited 10 turns nobody showed up. I can send a save.
As for pirates, yes even if you trim them down to zero the "flow" seems OK, since you still fight the boss captain. But of course the pirate mini-screen must go away
Ah so the bug is in all timed fights, not just in the dwarves? frak my fix is not working then...Franka wrote:Interestingly, this gimp party broke every timed fight on Easy, so who cares about levels and gear anyway?

Are you sure you played it with the 0.8.30? I got your save, but I never managed to beat the dwarves before the others arrived!
Anyway just to be sure I'll put a line to get back all the party members after every ship travel, so the game won't break for sure

Re: Third Act Beta! - SOTW 0.8.31
Are we supposed to be able to replay the romances from the achievements screen yet or not? There's some really weird things going on in there. And I got a crash:
Gee, now I gotta try clicking the others....
EDIT: OK, the other romances will make the game "just" crash, so no weird pairings happening there.

Yes you can replay but I didn't check that yet so there could be errors, will do it in next days, since I also need to review the achievements
