Yeah, I can't find anything specific that does it other than just replaying the fire game a bunch of times. My save is at the cut/burn option.
I've also come to the conclusion that you could easily spend a lot of time trying to balance difficulty vs fun on nightmare. It should always be beatable with two moves, though some times are obviously easier than others. Oh well, I think you should just leave it as it is.

Yes indeed, I don't think I'm going to change that now

So I've uploaded 1.0.8... with the finished ending CGs! The game is now 100% complete. There's still that mysterious bug that user reported (game quitting to main menu after the second gnoll camp search once palisade is built) but I can't seem to reproduce it. If anyone encounters it and has a save before it happens, send it to me

So, I got the same crash again. I loaded at the cut/burn choice and did the bee fight to see what it'd be like. Then I reloaded and did the fire game to check out the new exp reward. Then I reloaded again because I thought I saw a bug and BOOM - game crash.
Anyway, the bug I spotted:
Spoiler:
When you beat the fire game, the dialogue section says "Party got 500 XP!" but in reality, each character only gains 300. For reference, my bee fight awarded 393 xp.

Shea Part III:
Spoiler:
Vaelis: "Everything is alright. Yet." <-- "Yet" should be something like "So far."
Nitpick: The "hunt the gnolls in the treetops" battle takes place with the mountain background. Aren't they in a forest? Wasn't there a snow forest BG somewhere?
I'm at 46/54 W/S at the end of Day 10. I think it's doable in Nightmare. (Of course, maybe I've been lucky that the gnolls hit the guards 6 times.)
Okay, I crashed again. This has nothing to do with any minigame this time, I'm just loading a save. Sometimes the second save in a single session! I used to have no problems back in the day, so something in the new Ren'Py is broken.
Spoiler:
I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

Thanks, yes the right amount is 300XP but before I had put 500 and forgot to change the texts (the amount awarded is right though).
About the crash I sent the report to Ren'Py coder since for sure is something related to the library. Is strange though that I can't seem to crash it here. Does your system have not much RAM? another user on Steam reported an out of memory error for PS1 today...
Maybe if you want try sending me that save, if is always the same save that breaks the game

Yes Ren'Py coder said that it should be something in my code (I do some stuff after the load of a save) but it should happen with a specific save, not randomly. So if you have that save which crashes can take a look at it

Well, it's multiple saves but they all originated from the same pre-DLC save. I'll look more tonight.

Thanks, I'm off to bed now. I sent you by email a file to replace to see if the problem still occurs

The DLC worked neatly (no problems at all, only the final screen was missing as announced). However I encountered one small problem when I tried to replay it for the second time (when choices for different decisions/romance are offered). Though my Althea is still correctly a druidess, in pictures she no longer wears druidic robe but a warrior outfit instead.
