I dont think Damien relative is his dad, I think he will be his uncle or another relative
I mentioned Damien dad because Damien tell us his dad fought alongside John Nelson, so I think they have the same age range.

opss, my mistake, I also dont think he's Damien's dad for the same reason I gave for Lola(If he become a love interest)

And I really doubt Joshua/Lisa is the newphew of John, specially because Alex can be gay and Diana cant be their mother

I didn't mean that Joshua/Lisa is the nephew/niece of JN(I wouldn't be surprise if he/she is the son/daugther instead) ,but they are know has such,I was only talking about the fact that it wouldn't make any sense(scenaristic wise) to make Alex or Diana to be a possible parent of one the character of PS so Lola can't be the mother of Rebecca if she is a love interest.

I think Jack originally planned John to be the grandfather of Joshua/Lisa, but instead wrote newphew/niece in the game

He did wrote the game himself if I remember correctly.I thought it was great that the hero isn't a direct descendant for once, that also explain the gaps of 2 generation he post about. (the only other game where I saw this was the first fire emblem ,marth could weld flashion because of the blood of Henri in his vain but he was the descendant of henry's brother)

Yes, it is confusing because in italian (my language) there isn't such difference so that's why was confusing. Anyway been thinking with Miakoda about some possible suggestions, since in PS1 I always wrote niece/nephew...

I think the best course of action will be a slight ret-con for Planet Stronghold, changing Joshua/Lisa to be a great-nephew/great-niece in Planet Stronghold 1.

The other option is to move Alex and Diana back one generation, and this could mean John is the son of one of them. Since PSCD is in such an early stage, I don't mind doing that

And I understand where you are coming from Jack1974. Many other countries/languages can use a general term without getting more specific, especially beyond the most immediate part of a family.

it's at that moment you look back at everything you said and scream "FAIS CHIER!!!!!putain la honte,je suis trops con, PUTAIN,AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!" while taking you head in your hands(and with a little luck no one saw you and think you're crazy).At least that what I do when that happen to me (i don't think I need to translated that ,everyone can easily guess.)

it's just a little mistake just act like Joshua/Lisa was supposed to be the nephew/niece from the very begining and you can still change PSCD to adapt if it is possible or.....retcon.

Or maybe John is the real father of Joshua/Lisa! He discovered a terrible secret in Planet Stronghold and had to vanish, he hided on Mars with a new identity, married and had a son/daughter, but he was assassinated by his pursuers.

Additionally, I believe we've resolved the Grandfather/Grandmother Paradox of PSCD and PS1

Nothing is invalidated in PS 1, so John Nelson will remain the uncle of John/Lisa Nelson.

However, since Colonial Defense is still early in development, we will move Diana and Alex back one generation: This means Alex/Diana may be the father/mother of John Nelson. This would mean Lisa/Joshua would be the granddaughter/grandson of Alex/Diana.

More seriously, the answer is no. I will have to do some changes on profiles, and some of the dialogues to reflect this.
