I don't know if the new upgrade changed it, but i played all of the game on hard fairly easily but the third mission I could not defeat with Alex until I moved it down to easy. As soon as I put up a card the mattricks would summon a charger and plow through it. I played 7 times, before I gave up, I am not saying it is impossible but maybe stack the deck a little easier, at least for a tutorial mission?

Going to check, I played it mostly with Diana but of course having different cards and fixed decks in the early missions, it might not always work.
BTW which option you picked for the 3rd mission? since there are 2 variants based on choice.

Ahah yes, I found out which one. The second is really tough indeed. I remember being hard also with Diana. Will make it easier

Planet Stronghold: Colonial Defense. The only game where a Mindcontrolled Elk on Steroids finds Inner Force.

Awesome, yeah I chose to sedate them, but even after figuring out exactly when the cards would come out, I found it hard. I cakewalked through the rest even on hard though. Samuel and Alex make a fightening team. Add in a bunch of gold cards (10 missions+ 7? side missions = 8 gold cards) and they absolutely trounced the field.

I don't see the changes to Elk and Inner Force, or any of the other cards, either.
