about pain: I noticed this when I equipped her not with a staff but a more normal melee weapon. maybe the reason?

Yes, I think that could be the reason. Maybe the weapon damage gets added or something (that shouldn't happen). I printed the battle log in Ren'Py and as you can see there's a clear problem...!

I will think about this tomorrow since now it's too late and I risk only to add more bugs, also the log above wasn't even formatted properly. But anyway using Benediction (staff) she has normal magic bolt attack 8, and pain 5, so that's wrong too ( should be 2 dmg, even if also depends on the target's armor).

Hmm that's a bit confusing indeed, that sentence says "chosen_romance" replaced by the one you romanced, in this case Vaeril (yes I know wasn't intentional ) steps forward bla bla. It's a general sentence though, I didn't bother to display the right character, but now that I think about it, it's better if I do
The other probably was "Just lend me a hand and help me back up"

You mean you see it gray in the gallery, but it showed in the game? Uhm well that's basically impossible since the same code is used for all achievements, and so it either would work or not for all of them! Maybe some temporary glitch?

I can't get Karen's affection to max, in fact, in between a couple of talks her affection had fallen (or failed to permanently register an earlier increase), without showing me. I'm assuming it should be at max after gathering your whole team during second moon?

I reached 85 - and peeking at the code it seems it's not possible to increase this. I don't think it's possible to unlock her dream sequence.

eta: talking about affection values - imo you should remove the tracking for Senya. I waited all the time for a story line with her (not necessarily a romantic one, but some unfolding plot similar to other nonrom chars) but nothing happened except the (half?) heart early on.

If you get turned, Karen will get stuck on screen after the final fight.

Thanks will check Karen's missing romance, and yes the last relationship increase is when assembling the full team. It's probably enough to bump a bit the values during the various choices - sadly this means that you might need to restart for it to work

eta: talking about affection values - imo you should remove the tracking for Senya. I waited all the time for a story line with her (not necessarily a romantic one, but some unfolding plot similar to other nonrom chars) but nothing happened except the (half?) heart early on.

True, will also remove that since indeed there's no reward for maxing it (originally was supposed to give her naval support with max relationship but then we went "the Kraken route" :p)
