This is the wishlist / planned update for this game. You're free to post suggestions here, and if I think it's possible to implement your requested feature, I'll add it on the list (so everything is in one single place). I tried to include all suggestions made in other threads but if I forgot something remind me please! thanks

· Magic Shop where you can trade experience points, avatar, artifacts
· add paid expansions, each one including: new quest, new wilderness area, new avatars and new spells
· higher level of your druid, maybe adding some special skills that are available only when you reach particular levels (like 30, 35, 40, 45, 50)
· special wilderness areas with particular environment bonuses (for example fire avatars are weakened, some spells are inefficient, etc)
· online uploading of druids statistics to show off your friends
· multiplayer turn-based over internet (unsure if this will be possible!)

To elaborate on your "add...monsters" statement, I hope you mean in addition to quests, you will add new monsters for the wilderness area and to the player's deck.

A few other wishes include the following:
(1) New spells,
(2) New items (that the player can equip)
(3) New wilderness areas
(4) A higher level for the player's avatar to reach. (i.e. player level 50)
(5) If possible, a higher level of difficulty for the wilderness area AND/OR a new wilderness area only for high level characters with high level creatures.

I hope this doesn't sound too greedy but I think each and every thing I listed here would enhance the game even more, and keep it fresh for a long time to come. I don't expect you to do all this for free, so if you can implement this I would be willing to pay whatever you consider as fair for your hard work, time, and effort.

LONG LIVE MAGIC STONES!!!! :P :P :P

Thanks for the suggestions and compliments :)
What I'm planning to do at this point? I'll be adding paid content (very small fee like $5) for every expansion, but that would also include:
1) new quest (obviously)
2) new spells / avatars
3) new wilderness areas available only if you have that particular expansion installed

The new item, and highest level is a bit problematic right now. New items, because they're randomly generated when game starts, so is hard to add "predefined ones". Higher level is possible but I wouldn't know which statistic to raise, since the 4 basic ones of your druid around level 21 should be already quite high.
I'll think about this anyway... a way could be adding special skills for every new level gained ;)

MonkeyTown wrote:So everyone ends up becoming a generalist, even if they don't want to, because you end up getting all different kinds of creatures and spells.

So... I would suggest that each area more strictly produces rewards of its own element, so that specializing is easier.
Hmm originally was like that indeed. But I see the bug: once you have collected one of all the fire/earth/air etc avatar, it goes random. This because at the time I originally designed the system, hadn't planned the leveling avatars 8)
But is a good idea and I'll replement it.
MonkeyTown wrote: It would also be nice if specializing in a certain creature was a little easier (6 stones vs. 10 perhaps?), and had several different levels (maybe it already has different levels but I haven't gotten that far).
Yes they have different levels, up to 10 if I remember well. I could also implement a different requirement based on initial school of magic choice, but unfortunately this would mean you had to restart your druid... :(
MonkeyTown wrote: Does getting more of a certain rune make you better at casting it? If not, I think that would make sense.
Yes it does. I want also to implement a "empowering" based on the level. For example the spell Teiwaz that normally does 15 dmg, would do more damage as your knowledge increases.
MonkeyTown wrote: Finally I suggest that the 'Challenge other Druids' part be made harder - Once you have been around the block a time or two they don't have anything much to offer.

Yes I'll need to raise the difficulty of the tournament, since many people already reported that is too easy to beat them once you have collected many avatars.
About the other suggestions, I'll think about them, I like in particular the opposite elements bonuses or the penalties for having avatars from different elements on your side. Some very good suggestions, thanks a lot!

I'm pleased to say that I raised up the difficulty of both the tournament and gather artifact considerably :)
I've also finished the new quest, in a few days I could put up a new beta version.

Cool stuff man.

With each thing you knock off your list of to-do with Magic Stones, you move that much closer to implementing the magic store. I know it will take some time but that feature is something I am really looking forward too. Maybe release that feature alone as a seperate patch and charge $5 for all the work it might require.

I'm working on the "Magic Shop" right now 8)
I probably will finish this update with new quest "Lands of Fire"+Magic Shop and ask $5, then release the next and last quest that will complete all the Life+Spirit stones and then think what to do.
Probably more updates, but not so frequently, because I really want to work on new things. It's also my fault since the code of Magic Stones is not very clean and updating it adding more druid levels for example is already a pain... I really didn't thought it would have been so successful, so I didn't plan it carefully
Anyway, I have already another CRPG on progress as you know, and I want to release more in future!

Great news!

I'll be one of the first people to buy that update once it comes out. :P

EDIT: You keep releasing CRPGs and you will have at least one customer for life. :) :)

this is a small change but a bit annoying issue - when casting spells you have to keep reopening the spell window over and over - can't it just be set to stay open until you are done - i don't know about anyone else but i usually cast most of my spells at once and even using the short cut key to reopen the menu is frustrating - thanks :)
