For now she is just a secondary character. Depending how things go, might do DLC with possibility to romance her and other characters...

Jokes apart, I'm really pleased of the artwork. There's now another character, a rebel (an ancestor of Damien!). Curious to see how he will turn out too

Ancestor is kind of a big word no??? It gives the impression that the games happen centuries before PS or the reason for using this word is to hide something (His parental link with Damien or....)

The fact that you call Damien's relatives his dad made me realise that it was logical that Lola wasn't rebecca 's mom.

If she was then she wouldn't be a love interest(well right now she isn't) becausse it would imply that rebecca may be of "nelson blood"if romance by alex(romance by Diana is another story), and it would make a big plot hole with the "Joshua/Lisa is special because s/he is the nephew/niece of John Nelson".

Depends how you think it, normally nephew/niece means is the son of son, no? (I am a bit tired but I think is correct )
So it COULD be (just making a random example eh):
Diana/Alex/John Nelson -> Random Wife/Husband Nelson -> Lisa/Joshua (niece/nephew of John)
the Random Wife/Husband would be the son/daughter of John, and Lisa/Joshua would be their kid. Isn't two generations this way ? lol is too late here I can't really think now

I dont think Damien relative is his dad, I think he will be his uncle or another relative
I mentioned Damien dad because Damien tell us his dad fought alongside John Nelson, so I think they have the same age range.
And I really doubt Joshua/Lisa is the newphew of John, specially because Alex can be gay and Diana cant be their mother

A newphew/niece is the child of your brother/sister
The sons of a son would be a grandson
