Yes that might be the case, since Chalassa arrives after XX turns, so if you killed them quickly that could be the result I know it happened when I test, but I use a cheat that instantly kills all the enemies. Hmm maybe that battle is too easy even in easy mode
FrankaOct 08, 2014
It's very easy in easy mode, I just tried it again, and I had everybody defend 1-2 times on the last mob before Chalassa showed up. I could have killed that last mob 8 times before that happened. Not much of a boss battle. Did I mention my Althea is lv11 as well?
jack1974Oct 08, 2014
Okay, time to make it harder then!
Also I think I know what is causing wildcard bug, it must be in one of the quests where you can pick someone to do a task and he/she is unavailable, I forget to add it back to the party. Maybe happens only with Krimm though since nobody else had the bug before.

Minor issue. Failing*) Jariel's personal quest doesn't log the quest in the logbook at all (nowhere to be found, not even on the "Failed Quests" -page.)
*)Damn, it was hard work to fail this one. The quest is too easy even on NM. I can't believe that I'm going to say this, but...maybe give us less potions for that one?
wildcardOct 08, 2014
Uhm what did you do before that? seems that the party is messed up
Uhmn... I just played the story and did quest after quest. and tried to get all quests. - Usually had two at the same time. Either treasure hunts, Krimm's 'story' with the blacksmith lady or from Merrow (main quests?)
... and I got turned down by my favourite elf T^T (I'm playing Shea btw) in the bath hall.
Also I got my party back by now - except for Krimm.
... Now that I think about it I think the party was messing around with me after I got turned down by Jariel. ... Maybe I got to that point to early?
I still can't access any bath scenes anymore ^^°
I click the heart and then that screen comes up. So no selection anymore.
Thought I did get two more events with Vaelis after I got turned down and reached that point of the story *points to original post*

Theoretically (!) you could paint yourself into a corner and not have the 500 gold to start the first Tavern quest. I mean you'd have to do all other possible quests first, sell all your gear, spend all your money, sell everything, spend it, etc. until you end up with less than 500 gold. If you can't advance the time to fight crabs, and you can't go to the secret grinding spot, then there is no way to get the 500 gold to start the quest. I know, theoretically (!), but it will still break the game.
wildcardOct 08, 2014
Side note: I continued gaming and finished the 'family' story. (so far, i think)
Also got Rowenas special item from it.
Krimm is now back in the party.
AND! I can trigger bathroom thingies again <3

Strange, the fail quest code is just below the lines:
"But I had overestimated my strength. The wounds I suffered in battle were too grave, and eventually, I collapsed to the ground, and the guards put me in chains."
Also I got my party back by now - except for Krimm.
Yes I found it, is in tier2, I think is forge second quest, all characters are back except Krimm. But depends how you did it, if you chose her to leave/stay behind for the quest, you miss her. I guess everyone who played before always kept her in party I'll upload a new version, but you have to go back to that point of the story to get her back, sorry

Gahhh that thing was a nightmare lol I spent too much time considering all the possible combos!!
For tonight I'll just upload the new version and will keep this bug for tomorrow

Also, none of the quests I have failed are put in the Failed Quests tab, it's completely empty. (And I've tried to fail as many as I could.) Failed Quests tab is broken!

Uhm, Althea Ranger can't equip the Ranger Twin Sword she got from the forge. Is there a hidden level requirement or something? (Same thing with the Hunter weapon, so I'm guessing there's a level requirement, but it isn't shown.)

... I'd like to say...
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Evil cliffy!!! *pokes game to spit out next chapter but fails*
I really love the game so far -^^- <3
Rowena is fun, Merrow and her are crazy together - and I love it :3
Also love the party dynamics, who goes alogn with who and who doesn't.
The story quests are also interesting and fulfilling!
But... but... my romance... *already having withdrawl synthoms*
Jack once more has ensnarled me with one of his games. And I'm keeping an eye for that dating game, just so you know. I love what I've seen so far >:3
And... maybe it's good that the beta is already at it's end. I really should got to bed XD
Good night ;P

Those lines are not from Jariel's quest. Maybe one of the quests from Act 2? Anyway, I sent you a save, maybe it'll help...

Same thing in the Rescue Rango quest, choose a party member to stop bombs, but I'd killed all the enemies before that, so up comes 6 empty boxes. I'm guessing this is a problem in all of these timed fights. My super effective playing on easy killing team clears everything out too fast.
What happens if you don't have any money in that quest, by the way? I think something like that has come up in the discussion before. Are you supposed to have 4 choices like this anyway?
Nutty Nutt quest, returning after fighting the dwarves, half my party was gone and a crash occurred upon resting (I guess I killed the dwarves before the timer allowed all my party members into the fight).
EDIT: Actually this seems to happen if I walk in any direction but east. I get 4 party members for the fight, and the other 4 never show up.
I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

Ah interesting, so might be just a global error then.

I think I put level 15, which he should be by now (since you can autolevel them to level 14 at beginning of act) ?
Those lines are not from Jariel's quest. Maybe one of the quests from Act 2? Anyway, I sent you a save, maybe it'll help...
I confused Jariel with Riley
Same thing in the Rescue Rango quest, choose a party member to stop bombs, but I'd killed all the enemies before that, so up comes 6 empty boxes. I'm guessing this is a problem in all of these timed fights. My super effective playing on easy killing team clears everything out too fast.
Yes, honestly I didn't think it was possible without a cheat. Well time to make ALL the act3 battles tougher for sure! But I think will also implement some other way, like regenerating enemies. Better than showing an empty enemy party!
What happens if you don't have any money in that quest, by the way? I think something like that has come up in the discussion before. Are you supposed to have 4 choices like this anyway?
The choices changes based on what you have, but if you have less than 1000 they'll just say "all we have, is not much". Which can also be 0. Of course, with that choice, Myrkhan doesn't give you any "package".
The others should arrive after some turns. Well yes tomorrow need to check all those "timed battles", beside making harder is better if the enemies are replaced somehow, otherwise there are issues like this!

OK found it, I have added a condition so that you must have at least fought the ants ONCE, because later in the story in the steamy tunnels there's a reference to them.
Before, you could skip Rowinda's quest but then how did the party knew about the ants?
The problem is if you loaded an old save just past that point, for example Riley or Chalassa's quests, where that variable was false So you should go back to that part of the story to be able to continue... unfortunately I can't change this, because then we would have the plot bug again about the ants.
I think it works fine since I know people who replayed the game from act1, and they reached act3. So this bug can happen only in this particular situation (continuing a save from act2 after Jariel and Rowinda intro, after the ants quest).
Ah ty... where are the ants? I've only ever found that one battle with them in the steam tunnels on your way to the bathhouse

You mentioned earlier that the vendor gold limit wasn't an intended mechanic, just something you couldn't easily get rid of. Could you bump up the Ratmen gold limit in Act 2? I think they're at 500g. I tried selling stuff to buy a 339g amulet, ended up 3g short, but they can't afford anything else I can sell.
