It can be. You could have also started the skills discussion here, and I am glad you didn't We have a whole forum for this beta and we're currently using only three threads. I've probably found two dozen language errors that I haven't bothered to report. Mostly because I am a combat nerd, but still.
As soon as I find something, I will make the thread. It should be more overseeable for poor Jack.

A few of these language errors are probably Jack's (he's neither an English native speaker nor studied the language), most are probably mine - I'm a terrible proofreader if confronted with my own texts. Two dozen so far is more than I would have suspected, though.

Fixed the typo and the wrong head alignment
As for the items turned out (surprise) that was my fault I needed to use a global variable for the index. I tried assigning it out of the function and load an old save, and SEEMS to work fine. The duplicate bug will still appear for the items "already created", but for the new ones shouldn't work anymore.
At least the good news is that you don't need to start from scratch because I fixed this item bug!
Also currently trying to make a function with Anima's help to get rid of the old items, since currently all the level 1,2,3 etc items generated in Ninim are still in memory - is not a big amount but I want to make things clean if possible!

I've written a fair bit myself and then seen people nitpick me on really facepalm mistakes so I know how blind you can get to them the thread is up anyway.

Heh, I should be getting a chance to play this weekend as well, and will be looking for such errors as well. And it really is easy to overlook something you wrote because your mind often fills in what it should be, and not what it really is.

Typos / grammar are the least of my worries. They're easy to fix
Doing version 0.8.19 now with a bunch of fixes (the item trick shouldn't work anymore for example).
jack1974Jul 18, 2014
Allright 0.8.19 uploaded, some small tweaks and the item thing fixed. I tried here for a while and was unable to use the cheat so I think should be good to go. Also I could reload old saves just fine. Of course if you reload a save where the duplicate item bug was working, it will still work, but next time the item are regenerated in the store shouldn't. For sure when starting a new game shouldn't work again

+In the updated Riley's quest: is one still supposed to have access to the special potions after failing in a stunt? So it's only the 25% heal you'll lose? Because I have access to those potions.
Question on the chosen class itself (or failed sidequests, for that matter)... Does it affect any of the storyline dialogues/events like it did in Loren? For example to get to Loren to yell at the player that "she has no need for your 'services'" one had to choose thief-class and have been worked at the royal palace in the intro. And there was another class-workplace combo for Saren that led along the elf route to a little hostage scene with Draco/Saren/Mesphit. Does SOTW have anything like this? I'm assuming not since this is "such a small game" Just trying to decide how many storyline saves will I need to carry on from Act2.

In a small tribe like Krimm's, semi-incestuous relationships are not uncommon.
Krimm herself says a couple of times that the tribe was/is large (in the same chat I saw "moreso" - typo or intended use of the "nonstandard spelling of more so" (wiktionary)?)

Yes, I thought was harder to lose the 25% regen than a potion since the heal is BEFORE battle, so more powerful.

Yes there are not such things in it because is "a small game" most choices have immediate consequences.

Oh, but the special potions are *before* the battle, too. For example, the speed potion usually gives Riley the first move so that he can gulp down those "normal" HP potions or cast ghost form before the archers attack. I'll be okay with this either way, just making sure. The quest is much more fun now. (*cough* and easier*cough*)
As for the second part, good to know, saves me from going all confused with a ton of saves!
jack1974Jul 18, 2014
Yes with the speed potions is true, but once you finish them...
Even if is easier I think is better than before where you could just try the luck and if heroic opportunity failed=game over
fabulaparvaJul 18, 2014
Sorry, if this has been reported before, but Strikethrough in the bloodied boar battle does nothing to the backrow fighter.
I think might be for a change I did a few versions ago, do you remember if before was working ?
fabulaparvaJul 18, 2014
I'd like to say yes, it worked before, but after that incident with Rowinda's candy, I'm not so sure...
EDIT: Yeah, in 0.8.13 it works. Works also in 0.8.16, doesn't work in 0.8.18/19. I don't have v0.8.17, so I'm not sure if it'd work there or not
jack1974Jul 18, 2014
Np then I know the problem, I changed that skill to avoid a crash during the slaves fight, will look into it.

It's a large tribe, as far as tribes go. However, that doesn't necessarily mean it consists of thousands of people. It's more like something close to two hundred heads. There are also tribes numbering only seventy or even sixty, so the Stalking Sabertooth is large in comparison.
"Moreso" is intentional

Noticed this out of the corner of my eye in a couple of the fights the resistances start to go below the box. Actually seems like it may be getting lower as the battle progresses not sure. Remind me how to send you a save and I will.
Also
when Jariel pulls Chalassa in Rowinda's body through the portal he refers to her as "Chalassa" but then is surprised when Rowinda in Chalassa calls it "my body" shouldn't he know the difference and call her Rowinda or just say "she's injured" if he is not supposed to know about the soul swap.
jack1974Jul 19, 2014
Yes the resistances go down if the enemy name is too long or when is starggered because the text goes in the line below. I'm not sure how to fix this yet, will try some things
You're right, Jariel should say: "Quick, help me! Rowinda's injured!", corrected it now!
fabulaparvaJul 19, 2014
End levels seem more balanced now (all areas found, quests completed, usw):
Althea, Krimm = 16
Shea, Vaelis, Riley, Chalassa, Jariel = 15
Rowinda = 14
Alas, poor Yorick, had to waste my two awesome one-time-use-only items on those flipping Blades of Moon....good thing Yeldin's still a pushover in NM
EDIT: Shea, Vaelis & Riley are really close to level 16 (14-85EXP). I chose the Lugal-family quest this time, and it sure seems like you'd get less exp from it as you'll run into fewer bosses than you do in the Galanna-quest. Would explain in part why less chars are level 16 now.
