So with the time that's past since this game started and all the many posts what (if you know yet) are the final romances? Is it still the same four? (can't remember their names )

Yes, adding more is going to be a problem since as I posted elsewhere, the artist is the same as Loren, so I want him to focus on Loren 2. Once he has finished all the art for that game, then he can maybe add more images. But this game has 4 different ending each character, so even adding two girls to balance it means effectively adding 8 new images !

So for now there will be the 3 males: Daniel, Bernard and Stan, and the female Ruby. I'll try to add 2 more female romance to balance it out but it won't be easy in this case so no promises

I've been away for a couple of days and I've just noticed this now but it's still the delicious icing on the awesome couple of days I've been having . Both this and the possibility of a yuri expansion for SH2 *. And yes, I'm aware that it might not happen, but I still appreciate the thought and effort, Jack. It's been a while since I've seen someone so consistently working on bringing awesome GxG content ( and BxB, for that matter).



*Also thrilled for Heileen Sea Maidens, PS2 and Steampunk RPG in 2013. Looks like it's going to be an awesome year

Thanks problem with some games like this one is that the art was done long ago and there are problems adding more content. Also in Amber specific case the story was written with only those characters in mind, so adding more might be a problem too. Anyway for the future games I'll plan things better from start (for example the Steampunk RPG has all the romance options included from the start).

Where might I find the info board on the steampunk RPG, as, Steampunk Society member here... :D

Hm...I really love the Loren artist, very beautiful art indeed Um, so how's this game going? I saw on the schedule that this game and other dating/life sims will be the last. So...still have a long way to go huh?

This game is quite behind in writing, but also it needs the crafting system to be done since is going to be based on crafting, so doesn't make sense to start it until both the writing is at good stage and the crafting system is coded. So yeah probably late this year or next one

So, it's been a while without updates and I was wondering if there've been any developments?



Also, you mentioned (in the Nicole thread, I think) that this game might maybe get 2 more yuri options (when the Loren artist finishes with Loren 2 art) and I was wondering if you decided on that, Jack? I think I saw somewhere that camp poses for Loren 2 were the last thing that need to be drawn, maybe I'm wrong, though.



Anyway, I'm excited about this game so I thought I'd ask

I would like to know about that as well, but he is so busy with all the different games at different stages of production, some understandably don't get updated for awhile.

Artist just finished the female characters camp talk, now need to send him the male camp talk

After that, he should work on Roger Steel art as first thing, then if there's time for Amber. I am not sure if I can add 2 more yuri version though since there are several problems:

1) the colorist who colored all the sprites and ending scenes has disappeared, which means if I get new yuri character or scenes, they would look different and is not really great.

2) in that game you get FOUR ending each character. So even adding only two extra characters means 8 new CG images

3) the storyboard and everything was made with the current characters in mind, though I think is possible to add new ones.



Anyway, the writer had some issues but now he seems back on track. Is not the fastest writer, but seems very motivated, and provided some cool ideas for new scenes/gameplay element so overall I'm pleased. In any case I still don't have all the backgrounds for this game, nor the crafting system coded, so even if the writer finished all writing next week (just to say, is impossible ) the game wouldn't be out after the Summer for sure or maybe even later.



I'll make a blog post this Friday with a sort of update, but basically the next games likely to be out next are Roommates and Nicole.

It's your game so the choice is always up to you in the end, but I know I'd really like if there was more yuri options in this game, I love the Alchemist (reminds me of atelier) kinda theme to it. though that game is only otome. But only if you think it would be ok.

I think will first have the writing finished with the current cast and then see if there's the possibility of adding more yuri romance, if is possible for sure I'd like to add more myself too

Ah, damn, I forgot all about the colorist problem . But even without that, it seems that there's a bunch of problems with the possible yuri version. I hope everything works out in the end, but if it doesn't and we only end up with Ruby, that's completely understandable.

The fact is that Nicole (the otome part) is basically done, I have all art needed, missing only the music (but can be done in 2 months) and the writing. He is in charge of rewriting the scenes because honestly the original writer didn't do a particularly great job, but I hired him in AUGUST of last year, so I definitely expect something ready soon otherwise will need to change (a game so close to being finished can't be delayed just for the writing only!).

The whip had an instant effect! he said will finish the otome writing by end of May. Later than I expected but still good, since I need to wait for the music anyway!
