If we can't win it we will say "it's impossible, make it possible" and if we do "nightmare should be harder".

Haha well in this case is different from combat, since randomness and quantity of logs determine the difficulty quite clearly. Anyway is easy for me to change, so not a big problem :)

Rowinda is getting excited...

Currently finished the 3rd Althea POV scene, over halfway. My goal is to finish coding everything by mid-March and then only wait for the last missing art :)

The line before that is:

Jariel: "I'm hungry. Who wants to go to Hooters?"

So...question, Jack. Will the DLC pick up on our saves (I have multiples for each 'critical' stage in my game plays for both Althea who romanced Chalassa and Shea who is working on the romance for Krimm), or will we choose our LI (love interest) or how will that work? Thanks.
jack1974
Yes will pick up the save, in practice the whole DLC happens before the normal ending CG.

Then after you beat the DLC once, you can choose at beginning of the DLC your LI, so you don't have to necessarily replay the game from scratch (seems fair to me).
Taleweaver
Maybe you can even pick LIs for BOTH twins, even the one you didn't originally pick!
jack1974
Yes true, since the other replays should just be done to see all the missed romance scenes, so makes sense :)

Today finished a big chunk of work, still there's some stuff left. I think will met the mid-March deadline though, most battles are coded. The mini/meta game was harder than I thought since there are a lot of custom events and variations, and despite trying it 3-4 times I never managed to build the palisade in time  though once I was very close, so perhaps is possible albeit very hard. I am thinking to keep current setup as the Nightmare, and add 1 extra day for every lower difficulty level. So Nightmare = 15 days of time, Easy = 18 days (1 day makes a lot of difference).

You can win the game fine even without the palisade being built in time, by the way :)
Taleweaver
Either that, or reduce materials required to build. Probably easier.
jack1974
I already added the extra days thing :) I think for now should be fine, maybe if people can't win in Normal I could even lower required materials for Normal/Easy.

I'm happy because I managed to implement ALMOST all the ideas you wrote, just a few were done differently!
Taleweaver
But the extra days thing screws with plot timing >.<

Maybe you could lower the requirements and, if people can't win in Normal, also extend the days...?
jack1974
Why plot timing? Is never mentioned the exact amount of "days left" as far as I remember.
Taleweaver
What, haven't you noticed that each of the Shea segments spans exactly the same number of days? :)
jack1974
Yes but it's not a strict rule, I mean even if the last segment is of 6 days instead of 3, what breaks? :)
Taleweaver
My pride. T_T
Harbinger1975
*Gives Taleweaver a bowl of chocolate ice cream* There there.
ValHallen
The "X day still next plot progession" is back? Its the thing that I most disliked in SOTW, not being in control of the pace of how you progress the game was bad.
Taleweaver
No, it's not. No worries. This time, the plot is really tight. You're working at your own pace - only that being too slow could now seriously hurt you.
jack1974
In practice in the "save Ninim" minigame you'll need to gather 60 wood + 60 stone to build the palisade. But as I said even if you don't do that, is not game over, only different events :)

Even if you run out of food will trigger another event, but no game over.

one of the topic moments of the story from Shea PoV. Shea takes the chance to have a dig at the council about slavery...
