Do you have the save that triggered that crash? it's strange

normal, all my games. and the first to play-throughs were leisurely, in line with your target group (at least how I think you define your market : )). the main difference are next to no gems and they make a huge difference. as I said before: only an observation. (though I'm not sure I would be so relaxed if this had been my first experience with this game : P)
Worse case I could add some basic gems available in shops to buy, though this way is almost like cheating (since you can do the run shop thing and obtain the gems that way...

will mail you one, "use item" crashes the game - and this seems to be reproducable.
this is also an example for the damage thingy: the veteran guard had 44 HP, no resistances and bleeds and freezes.
44 x .1 = 4.4 = 4 (but bleeding has only 3 dmg according to tooltip)
44 x .075 = 3.3 = 3 (freezing seems to be fine with 3 dmg in the tooltip)
or do you use hidden resistances?

Plague Rat, 19 HP, 2 water resistance
Bleeding: calculated 1.9, actual 1
Frozen: calculated 1.4 minus resistance, actual 2
eta
Watch Dog, 24 HP, no resistances
Bleeding: calculated 2.4, actual 2
Frozen: calculated 1.8, actual 2

nah, this is A Bad Idea - it would destroy the value a found gem has. I just got my second gem, it took about 2 game weeks and 5 noble mansions to find an accessible treasure room : )

Bleeding was a hack added with SOTW, so not officially supported, probably messed up something. It would be enough to remove the 10% of target's HP in the tooltip though

Your crash save is totally weird. It's the medium explosive bombs that triggers it, indeed if I do another robbery and unequip it, works fine. But the thing is that I have another early save with a medium bomb and it doesn't crash. So I am not sure exactly why that's happening.
I think after fixing this bug I won't mess with items and equipment again anymore, since it has always worked fine and I don't want to cause absurd bugs like this one

OK I tested and it's not a specific potion, it's enough that you don't have a potion for that target in inventory. Like you have just 1 bomb, you can click on enemy target and use it. But if you click on your character, you can't use the bomb on yourself, and crashes like that.
So in your case you have both potions and bombs in inventory (something normal) and it always crashes.
I'll check what it is, this looks like a nasty bug and I wonder when I've introduced it. Some old saves works fine, but I don't remember which version it was when I saved them.

Bleeding/Frozen: The dmg for bleeding looks fine, more weird is frozen - especially my rat example three or so post above.
Crash: I bought the bomb with 0.7.6, as part of the big adventurer pack, not sure if this is valuable information. I forgot if I ever used potions/bombs with 0.7.5, but it worked fine with 0.7.4.
eta: The catacomb set descriptions are still slightly off, like 5 SP instead of 4 SP for medium vitality potions.

Lol it wasn't a nasty bug, simply I formatted badly the .csv file of the usable items

I tried with a previous version and works.
I'm doing a quick update now since otherwise the useable item will always crash, so it's not good to keep such version live

I'll look at the damage effect later.

Ah it's the Frozen the wrong one? I'll need to check then, probably something with the resistances is not working correctly.
The bad news is that your current game is permanently broken (for usable items). I tried the new version I'm uploading beginning a new game from scratch and works fine!

the current game is anyway broken - yesterday I played one more game week or so and have the impressive amount of 4 low-tier pebbles in total around PC level 8. way too uncasual for me : )

Haha you had a really bad run!

Looking into the damage effects now.

The resistances doesn't matter - I forgot that they only impact the direct damage you do. So Ice Spike damage 10 - target's Water resistance 2 = 8 dmg. But the damage over time is the same no matter the resistance.
I found out though that I put a wrong value to bleeding, was lower than what I put in the description. In practice was 5% instead of 10%. I think though that I'll change the description, since the game was balanced for that value. I tried putting 10% and then the skills with bleeding are too powerful

I tried adding double-click to equipment screen, but it's too hard (some side-effect could happen that I don't want to deal with), so I'll leave that as it is. I am waiting for the update, since the only change is the correct debuff damage over time values/descriptions

Aug 24, 2016
it seems that one can carry 6 usable items with 0.7.7? at least the items screen says so - it's a new game so I don't have 6 consumables to test it
jack1974
Aug 24, 2016
Haha sorry, it varies based on difficulty: Easy 6, Normal 5, Hard 4, Nightmare 3. However I think I never wrote this anywhere
edit: OK added the info on the screen itself, also spotted a sort of cheat: you could enter the screen in Easy mode, and equip 6 items, then swap to Hard and you would see "6 items out of 4" and you could start the mission

now that won't be possible anymore.

ah, okay. it seems I misclicked, I thought I started a normal game : )

oops, totally forgot to thank you for looking at the debuff damage issue and trying to implement my foolish doubleclick idea.

No problem

Today was a bit tired, so I'm taking it easier (yesterday was up too late haha). I have already done the debuff damage change and tomorrow will also include your email suggestiong and test a bit. Probably will wait the weekend for the new update to see if some more bugs shows up (I hope not of course!).

after beating the alchemist I got a gem, should this be possible in a merchant house? (personally I like it after my last game: first robbery ever and BAM! - gem ; ))
