Hello,

I bought Planet Stronghold from Desura, and from what I see there is no way for me to update it to 1.4e. In addition, buying from Desura didn't registered my e-mail in database. So, what should I do in order to play latest version?

Hm wait, I'll try to update it on Desura too, I forgot to do that.

jack1974, 9 days passed since you said you will update Desura version to 1.4e -_-

I'm doing it right now, so as soon as they approve it should be live! :)

Hi, I just bought Planet Stronghold from Desura since the winterwolves.net links are down at the moment.

However, the Desura version is still 1.4e, which seems several versions out of date by this point. How can I update to the latest version?
jack1974
Uh what you mean the winterwolves.net links are down? you just posted here  did you mean the .com? they should work.

Anyway you only need to download the demo here and should recognize the registration (if you run the game from Desura at least once).

Many links on winterwolves.com currently give 404 errors, including those to buy the game or the support links. Right now, all the following links are down at the very least:

"Support" http://www.winterwolves.com/info.php

"Windows" http://www.winterwolves.com/pc_games.php

http://www.winterwolves.com/

"Web" http://www.winterwolves.com/web_games.php

"Buy the game now" from planetstronghold.com: http://www.winterwolves.com/buy.php?prod=17030024

"Download the Windows demo" from planetstronghold.com: http://www.winterwolves.com/download.php?game=PSDemo.exe

Anything having to do with PHP is down, it looks like...?

Here works fine, so I think is something with your connection. The only other reason I am aware of is if you used a trojan / crack that a pirate group made that messes up with people computer's DNS (responsible of risolving the domain names when you browse) and redirect the domain name to localhost (127.0.0 if I remember correctly). Not saying that you tried to pirate the game of course, you might have got the demo from one of those sites. I recommend to check your computer, but unfortunately I don't know how to remove that program.

Hah, turns out you were right. Guilty as charged, I do remember pirating a game of yours some years ago, to my shame. Fixing my hosts file did the trick, thanks.

That said, running my Desura 1.4e copy doesn't seem to let me register the 1.5.5 demo properly:

My Desura 1.4e copy (the email address associated with that Desura account is [email protected]): http://thelo.ca/ps1.4e.jpg

About to try to register the 1.5.5 demo: http://thelo.ca/ps_reg1.5.5.jpg

Ah ok strange I thought it would work. Anyway send me a message through Desura or email me your purchase and I'll send you a serial code that will work even offline :)
Thelo_Solalto
Alright, I've sent it to [email protected]. Thanks!
