So since I've now officially spilled the beans in today's blog post:

I guess is time to make a subforum for this specific game. The title is still temporary, though personally I like it
The user sleepykitten in this forum is the writer, and Deji is the illustrator (she worked for me on the Flower Shop series) together with Sandra who did the background for Nicole and Roommates. Arowana is doing the gameplay coding instead.
Of course the release is still several months away (I don't want to put pressure on them!) but thought to open the forums anyway!

More seriously, I know it is a bit early, but if you don't mind sleepykitten, would you mind letting us know what led to a story with archeology as a setting? I would find it fascinating.

Hey, I've actually been an amateur archaeologist! This is VERY COOL. (I can also answer archaeology questions.)
"C-14 Dating" is a bit clunky. Maybe "C-14 Romance" or "Discovery in C-14" or something. "Dating" in your title makes it sound cheap, lol.

And I can't help but notice the improvement as well (hope this comment is taken well). Just look at the illustrations from the Fairbrook series to the ones she's working on.

Yea, I'm aware, hence it being a tentative title. I might make a poll later to decide the title once I hear more suggestions and the like. ^_^v I've gotten"Digging You" "The Dig" "Unearthing Love" "Love In Ruins" "Adventures in Archaeology" "Caved/Caving In" etc, and even "Dirty Minds" "Down and Dirty". XD
I picked C-14 Dating as the code name for now since it's the most recognized dating method (as opposed to absolute dating, potassium–argon dating, etc) so if people didn't know what "C-14 Dating" meant, they could at least assume there was romance due to the 'dating' part.
As for the setting, I've worked at an excavation site in Europe and wanted to convey my love of archaeology somehow. =)

"Love in Ruins" is great, as is "Digging You". I don't know about "The Dig." I'm old enough to remember an old computer game put out by Lucas Arts, written by Sci-Fi writer Alan Dean Foster (and for some reason I think Stephen Spielberg attached to it), but the game was called "The Dig"
And I will await further details as they come out. I hope you have something with stratigraphy in the game, though :D

Indeed, it was a strangely received game, because it didn't have LucasArts' usual humour. The story was based on an idea by Spielberg for his TV show.
In any case, better not go with The Dig as a title for this game.

Yes I remember The Dig game too, I agree is better not to use this. Besides there are better suggestions already (like "Digging You" lol).

No is not scary like Nicole, for sure there are funny situations, but not like Roommates. I'd say is about learning, discovery (is about archeology after all) living in a foreign country and making friends, etc. Writer probably could make a better summary than me
And if you played Heileen 3 yuri (Ebele and Juliet romances) you have an idea how the writer writes.
The really cool thing of this game will be the diverse cast. I don't want to anticipate much but everything we talked about in the forums in past months about non-standard-model-looking characters will be implemented. All the boys are cute, but every one in his own way. In next blog post writer will introduce each one

I usually stay away from GxB games cause I feel weird trying to hit on a guy, so I will wait for the Yuri version. Looks great nonetheless.

Unless I misread it, from the tweet posted above I think there is going to be at least one GxG route in the base game.
