Some equipment cannot be used because the required skill is too low. "Sorry, but you can't equip this item because this hero doesn't have enough of the required skill. Check the item skills requirement". Ok, normal RPG mechanism.



But the big question is: Where can i check the items skills requirement?



I am playing the android version and hammering on the items does not show anything.

When you click to equip, says you can't equip but also shows the skill and the required amount.

Are you playing the Humble Bundle version? Maybe I forgot to do that change on that version!

I know this is an old topic but I just bought this game and was wondering the same thing for the android version.

All I see when failing to equip something is this message : "Sorry, but you can't equip this item because this hero doesn't have enough of the required skill. Check the item skills requirements." And I don't see any requirements either on the item description, only the damage type, accuracy, rate, and I have no idea what this skull icon is (critical I would guess?).

It should show a list of values (skills) required to use the item if you tap over them, though to be honest 2-3 years have passed since I did the Android version, and I remember I used a different layout for mobile because otherwise the texts were too small. If you can post a screenshot of the inventory maybe I can tell you better sorry!

Ah yes now I remember. Ugh that game coding was a mess. It was pre-Anima times, when the RPG engine I coded was just a big mess of arrays (I wasn't even using Class... anyone who knows a bit of coding will understand what madness it is! )

Yes, I hope that I missed something, because there is not much chances of a fix for an old game.

It really makes things difficult if you don't know how many points you need to be able to equip a weapon... or even which skill it needs !



I did some screenshots but I am having problems with imageshack, their mobile version is awful and there is no link to switch to the desktop version. I hate it when sites are like this, especially since the mobile version usually has only a few basic options available... But I'll post again as soon as I manage to copy the direct links of the screenshots, or when I give up and end uping copy the links manually.

Well, finally ! Here are the screenshots. I think I'll give up on imageshack for temporary hosting of images.

For the second screenshot, I tried to equip Lisa with Emp. Kaboom, which Bellamy can equip so I assume it needs heavy weapons. But others are less straightforward, like energy pistols, I can't know if they need light weapons or energy weapons or both.

Also, I checked again to be sure that there were no tooltips with the requirements when tapping on an item.



There were many others problems of convenience like that, but I saw no need to mention them since there probably would not be any fixes for an older game (and most would probably require too much work anyway) and since they seem to already have been identified (as is attested by their absence in the other games I tried). I only mentionned this one because I hoped I missed something.

What version are you using? I just tried here, and the weapons that you cannot equip are highlighted in red (like in the barracks).

It is the version I bought on Google Play, noted version 1.5.7 on the main menu. There were no new updates available when I started the game, but I'll check again to be sure.

(By the way, it was nice to include the version on the main page. I remember other games for which it really took some searching to find the version. Not many, but of course it was when I needed it.)

Edit 2: Did you mean that in the first screenshot, the item Emp Kaboom in Lisa's inventory should be red, like in the barracks?

Ahh OK. I need to remove those "full games" since they were older. I now update only the "free to play" versions (the one with in-app purchases), indeed that one is newer (1.6.0).

And yes the Kaboom should be highlighted in red like in the barracks, in version 1.6.0

Maybe if you try the free one, it should recognize that you have already bought the other one? Otherwise email me

Sorry for the delay. I just installed the free version, 1.6.0. But in the main menu, the two options under "Register", "Unlock full game" and "Unlock bonus content", are asking me to pay again, and I don't see anywhere an option to restore a purchase. And of course the refund option on Google Play is long gone, so I can't ask for one for the paying version and then pay again to upgrade the free one.
