They are the only two non-romanceable characters by anyone, but I just spoke with Taleweaver and he agreed to write some scenes with them, enabling their personal quests. In practice will work similar to Planet Stronghold: even if you can't romance them, you talk with them to increase the relationship and unlock a quest (which will be about their background story).
With those two sidequests I'll consider the main writing done. I might still add a few smaller quest myself like I did in Act 1 (Mormont, Kodiak, etc weren't planned).

This is some good news indeed.

So YOU are the reason why jack kept bugging me about giving Daronas a bigger role
Fear not, Daronas-shippers. He's going to get his moments in the final chapter of the story too.

Hey, based on what I've seen so far in Act I, Daronas seems to be too good a character to let him just vanish/wither away after the first chapter, so I'm very glad to hear this.

The writer completed Vaelis backstory ! Is VERY GOOD. It explains why Morran doesn't want you around Vaelis and why Morran isn't allowed in the town either. Good stuff

I'm reading the Rowinda dialogues now and can't stop laughing in front of my monitor. They're EPIC
pl "You're not {i}that{/i} old..."
row "Oh, I can still walk on my own two legs without having to use my staff as a crutch. And my mind is still as sharp as..."
row "As sharp as..."
row "..."
pl "Rowinda?"
row "Huh? [pname]?"
pl "As sharp as?"
row "As sharp as what?"
pl "You tell me."
row "Why should I? It's you who asked me that trick question!"
pl "Um..."
pl=player, row=rowinda

Technically, Vaelis is allowed to come to Ninim. He just doesn't LIVE there, and it's kept intentionally unclear whether that was his choice or not

If I understood the plot correctly Vaelis has no interest to visit the village and Morran is not allowed because of some crime in the past.

Yes Tale got confused by my post, Vaelis is free to go anywhere, is Morran that is forbidden to enter. Vaelis sidequest explains also why Morran doesn't want the siblings to stay around him

Does Vaelis' sidequest also explain why Daronas doesn't like him?
*curious*

Yes, well is a general thing, almost all people in the village don't like him much after that event

Did he complain about the poor selection of items in the magic store or something?

Yes and about how the game skills were unbalanced, so he was banned from Ninim!

Sorry, still no romance options for him. Maybe in another game.
