I am big fan of Fire Emblem games are as you may know there are some characters where you have to meet special conditions to recruit or do things in a special way.



Just wondering for the game + DLC expansion, are there any characters you cannot recruit due to your choices or are missable in he sense they won't automatically be joining your party?

All the ones in the DLC are missable in theory, but in practice if you follow the main quest and the new area of N'Mar, it's very hard to miss them!

Or should I just romance them but not advance into lovers?

No you can't have platonic relationship in this game, sorry (considering the amount of people you can romance wasn't possible to add it).

I recommend to save often before each round of "camp talks".
