What's New in 1.0.0

- using the Call / date option too early will now give only -2 relationship penalty and not -10 as before, since other users were confused. I might add some hint to not do it too early in the game as well

What's New in 0.8.8

- forgot to add some achievements (some of Logan and all Noah's)

- the gallery replay wasn't working, now you should be able to replay all the scenes related to the achievements and relative CGs

Please note that due to the way the game is made, no demo will be available, because one could play almost all the "talk scenes" in the demo already.

The game is smaller compared to my other games, but it's reflected on the low price of only $6.99! It still has many interesting features like:

- Three potential love interests, up to eight endings

- Sixteen gorgeous CGs and original soundtrack

- Scheduler+stat raising+talk options

- Partial VO featuring Justin Briner (Deku in My Hero Academia), Dallas Reid (Asta in Black Clover), and Jill Harris (Noelle in Black Clover)

Jill (the writer and author of the game) playtested it for a LOONG time! But of course, let us know if there's some bug left :) thanks and enjoy it!

will you release a guide or will we the players have to create one on our own?
jack1974
I don't know if Jill wants to do one but I don't think it's needed, since the stat raising part is very straightforward, and it's enough to save before each choice to be sure to not pick the wrong one :)
Winkie22
I always check before I buy VN that it has a guide, with the condition that it doesn't have one I don't buy it. Winterwolves is the only exception I try to buy all of them when the beta comes out moreover supposing that there's no guide I try to create one myself. I have several guides that I haven't posted cause they are works in progress, but it saves me a lot time toil and effort whenever the game creators provide the guides themselves. Although if the game is as easy as you say I might not have to create one. Yet from the posts I saw on twitter it looks like a lot of dialog questions, however I will say it looks original and fun.
jack1974
The dialog questions, the one with the graphical menu and the various topics, are more to understand each character's personality better, they don't directly influence the stats or the endings. Only the "regular" menu choices do.

Anyway, maybe I'll do one later if I have enough time for the right dialog choices. I think Jill had one but might not be up to date.

I took the time to test the game for a little bit. It has a serious design flaw. Whenever I call someone on the weekend, not only are they "busy", but that takes away 10 relationship points, and I have to reload and do the entire week over to avoid losing points. This system is horrible, it seems designed to punish you for trying to advance the relationship. How am I supposed to know when it's "safe" to call somebody? My suggestion would be to not penalize you with lost relationship points, it's enough that you wasted two time slots on nothing.

Anyway, after redoing three different weeks just to change the weekend option, I had enough for now, I was getting really pissed off.
jack1974
Haha sorry, thanks for the feedback. I didn't think it was so bad, also because it's easy to maximize the relationship/stats even without the date, but probably you're right and it's not necessary to lose the relationship, maybe instead just increase the stress by a lot instead. Thanks
Franka
I'd assume people play dating sims to date virtual characters. It's like you made an anti-dating sim. Call someone up for a date, "No, I'm busy, and by the way, I hate you."

For week 1, I called someone twice because I didn't know any better and assumed it would advance something, BAM, relationship = 0. Ok, try again at 1 heart, no, busy, hate you. Yeah, all right, I guess it wasn't meant to be...
jack1974
Haha yes I understand what you mean

It's not tied to relationship but the point of the story, basically after the 4th July event should be safe to ask out. But I'll speak with the writer about it to find a solution :)
jack1974
Today I am officially releasing the game. I reduced the penalty for asking out too early to only 2 relationship, and maybe I'll also add some hints later (they're minor changes so I can update the game later).

A small sound bug: Even though I've turned both voices and sound effects all the way down, I'm still getting things like creepy laughs and exclamations in some scenes. Example: Catering scene with Lacey.

...and "Hairdresser" Lacey's voice isn't turned off in the romance ending.
jack1974
Ha thanks for spotting this :) Goign to check.

I found a bug,

the planning tool resolves saturday afternoon events before saturday morning events.
jack1974
Uh actually even for the sunday. Weird. Doesn't change much in practice but yes is a bug :)

Sorry to bother you but I purchased the gamer the game via the link:

https://winter-wolves.itch.io/corona-borealis

and it does say 1.0.0 in the splash page but it is still removing -10 from relationships from calling if the character is busy or it is too early. I'm running Windows 7 (only way to make some of my 3d software work...). Thanks for any help:)
jack1974
Yes I didn't change that since it's trivial to reach the max relationship. I also added a hint directly in the game tooltip text. In practice it's enough to not ask out anyone before 4th July and will work.

I cant get the sync achievements on steam to work
jack1974
I just tried here and worked fine. If you're on a Mac, that can happen (it's a ren'py bug). Otherwise, try to restart, update steam, etc etc (there are various reasons for this).
Winkie22
I played logan's route on itchio but when I went to sync achievements on steam. Only the final scene synced up and when I tried to click on it again, the option didn't light up only cancel lighted up. When I clicked on it it sent me to the main menu.
jack1974
If you're on a Mac that doesn't work, otherwise might just be a temporary Steam glitch - the synchronization doesn't always work 100% (in my case yes but I think might not work if there are connection problems for example).

Also sometimes restarting the game and/or Steam will fix it.
