Look at me! Hey look at ME! I'm the best.

It’s really a fun reading indiegamer forums. Everyone start a new thread only to advertise his own work. They haven’t realized that those forums are read just by developers? 🙂

Oh well.

It has become quite pathetic over time. I suppose I should post about the success I’m having with Magic Stones… but not, I think I don’t need this sort of compassion 🙂

Oh well.

Better browsing porn sites, really.

    Hello Jack,

I completely sympathize with you. I stopped posting almost as soon as I started on IndieGamer because of all this.

Magic Stones is probably the #1 most inspirational game for me as far as the whole Indie game development scene is concerted. It has RPG elements, it is not entirely “casual”, but simple enough tht it could be implemented without years, a huge art budget, etc.

If you could post sales data, it would be worth a lot to me personally as this is the #1 game I would want sales data for. If not than I completely understand and respect your privacy. Considering how much of an inspirtion you are to me already I am already in your debt.

BTW – Your blogging software does not allow anonymous posts and requires that I create an account *and a blog of my own* to post this.

Sorry I know I don’t allow anonymous posting, last time I did a spambot filled all the comments with a poker/casino/gambling links… 🙂
I don’t post sales data because I find them useless (I never asked for them to anyone) but I can say that outsell all my other games by 2-3 times…
Not like cliffsky Democracy, but not so far either 😉

You know that sales thing is a funny one. How does it help you that mister XYZ sells 5 or 10 or 100 a day ? It just let you know that it is possible to do so.
So ok, it’s possible to reach 100 a day.
That’s not really what it’s about here, how many a day do you need to live comfortably ? The lowest the better of course ( it’s easier to reach 5 a day than 100 for sure, but beware 5 is a high number for 99.9999% of indies ) You will probably not make that in a month at your first nor second title except if you are very lucky or have a blow you away game. Since most portals are now publishing inhouse titles only, i wouldn’t even count on this as a side income…
Good luck and hard work is the key to success ( work brings luck by minimizing the random factor 😉 )
